Camera raw editing is not enabled...

    Hi all.

I've googled and I've tested and I've done "everything" to get rid of the really annoying message that pops up when I try to open a file (either raw-file or jpeg) in camera raw from Bridge.

I've already tried to open Bridge from Photoshop CS6 and then tried to open the file directly in Camera Raw, with no luck. The same message appears, telling me that "Camera Raw editing requires that a qualifying product has been lauched at least once to enable this feature". Now what do I have to do?

I've also tried to copy the amtlib.dll from the Photoshop folder to the Bridge-folder under Program files, as suggested on numerous YouTube-videos I've come across. Needless to say, I'm still seeing the message.

I think I'm looking for a "step by step" kind of solution to this.

    Best regards

    Stig M.

    Hi Stig,

You might have more luck posting this kind of question to the Adobe forums.

    Hope this helps!

Hi and thank you for your reply.

I've already been on the Adobe forums and looked through. Tested a few of the suggested "fixes" there, but
still no luck. Guess I'll end up with a re-install after all

    Best regards.

Ah well - a re-install isn't too painful - should only take an hour or so.

True - I had to re-install my CS6 as well a few weeks ago due to the same issue.
    Works fine now.
Colin, it took a little over an hour to uninstall/re-install. I never figured out what caused it, after working normal for a while.
