    Peace inthe Plains . . .

Went out and took some photos by the Platte River, about an hour from where I live. It was a little windy but I did get some photos. Thanks for looking, comments and advice are always welcome.

It was windy when I took this photo, it took some patience . . . I think it turned out okay.

    Very nice Kathy.

It looks to me like the first one is a bit tilted. The wide frame works really well.

For the third one I'd suggest cropping a bit on the top and bottom.

I agree, very nicely done, Kathy. I really like the first image. The colors do make it a peaceful place for me.

    Yes. it definitely is.

That is a very nice image. I like how you have dealt with the sky. It brings it into harmony with the water and the land. And the way in which you have allowed the light to come up on each bank of the river gives the water a very good frame.

    A super bit of work.

Very nice work. Like #1 after it tilt correction. Such a peaceful scene I want to stroll along the river bank and enjoy the sights and smells first hand.
Have to agree with Miltos about cropping #3. Such a busy shot I am just not sure where I should be looking.

And to be a PIA nit picker I did find the sun in the top RH corner in #2 a tad distracting though its reflection in the water, which was interesting, would be strange I guess were the 'sun spot ' to be cloned out. However this is only my opinion and others may not have a problem with the sun and its reflection.
But nice work and thank you for sharing. I certainly have picked up a few helpful points from it.

Great photos Kathy. I also like #1 and the correction you have made is spot on. The blend of colours across your image is excellent and really paints the scene for me. I agree with Ucci's comments re #2 as I like the one tall piece of grass but my eye is pulled away by the sun. Well done
