A good all round balance. Maybe try adding a little boost to the highlights; but I fear this may ruin the effect. Something I would like to try then decide.

    Just add 'MacKenzie'

In the same vein as Geoff, I wondered about lifting the light on the chapel ... just a very little brightening all round.

And i wondered about trying to tone down that wisp of cloud directly above the far end of the building, so that it wasn't such an attention grabber.

But these are comments about a sublime composition.

    Very nicely done, Jeff.

I noticed that sharpest area in the image is the stone wall on the right side. I suspect that is was the focus point when you took the photo. I wondered if you could sharpen the church building as it might help make it more dominant.

Superb; so much potential, I love it. In the morning and the evening

A yellow filter looked even better but I think some fog would be good.

I'm sorry to be counter-flow (is this sentence used in english?)
but I do prefer the first version. Much more realistic to my eyes: it makes me feel actually in the scene!
    very beautiful picture
    my compliments

Well it's two of us Nicola. I think that the building needs some sharpening for sure.

In any case this is a superb composition!

    Re: Sunset light

I like the first image best but as the others have said the church could do with a sharpen, and the pesky cloud in the middle keeps drawing my eye to it. but a lovely image, where is it?

Pity about what look like selection lines round the church and hills. They show more if I make the shot look more moody.

Need the practice. No shots available like that near my home

Edited the post as should have blended in the cloud.
