Upper Antelope Canyon, Page, Arizona
My wife and I took a roadtrip to the SW USA. This photo is from the Upper Antelope slot canyon, near Page, Arizona.

My goodness, that's a spectacular image.
The composition is, in my view, excellent because it provides us with that channel of lighter-toned rock just left of centre running up to the light source at the top. That provides the key feature onto which our eyes alight and then can take in the rest of the scene.
Excellent stuff.

The colors are so rich and Donald says it all about the composition. Beautiful!

Re: Upper Antelope Canyon, Page, Arizona
Although I have seen hundreds of photos of the Antelope Canyon this one is really well framed due to the cathedral-like channeling effect. Well done.
I'd try burning the upper left part a bit.

Nice job, Don. I took a similar trip recently, going to Arches, Canyonlands and Antelope Canyon.
I'm going to guess that you had to look for compositions that were "looking up" because the canyon is normally full of people. (I still think you did a good job; it's just an interesting constraint when you have to work around crowds.) On my trip, I went to the *Lower* Antelope Canyon (just across the highway), and get this: I had the entire canyon to myself (well, plus my wife and 2 kids) for an hour! It was amazing.
To everyone else, Antelope Canyon is an interesting place and something that I'd put in the "bucket list" category for photographers. (I realize that there are more people on this forum that don't live near the U.S. southwest or even on the same continent, but it's a nice destination if you get the chance.) I'm going back to visit both upper and lower canyons!
