Every match Lottie plays she ends up having to do up her shoe laces during the game - the look of sheer concentration hoping the ball doesn't come her way......you'd think she would have learnt to do them up properly before the match by now

I like this because it captures a really poignant moment so well, not the kind of sports shot that is familiar.

Consider being prepared for it to happen in future games to get a completely different shot -- one that shows a large expanse of field with all the players in one area and poor Lottie all alone lacing up her shoes.

I think that this is a great shot! It shows a different facet of the sport and it also shows a brave gal playing through apparent pain (which is I what I deduce from the bandage on her thigh).

BTW: many of our American Football players tape over their shoes and laces in opder to prevent loosening as they play.

In terms of building up a story about sport and one person's participation in a sport, I think this is a very good image because it's all part of the story of that participation (as well as being a very good image in its own right). I'm intrigued by the lettering and numbering on the boots - unless they're club boots and potentially shared by others.
