    At the Track

Went into 'street' mode at the Formula 1 when there weren't any cars to shoot - here are a few from in and around the Main Grandstand at Yas Marina Circuit.

Again, a lesson for is all in terms of how to do it. The image of the child is quite outstanding.

Thanks Donald - #3 was one of those cases when it's good to look behind you to see if there's anything worth shooting. He was quite getting into it just before the start of the race

Thanks Miltos and Mike. The 70-300 VR nailed the kid, wide open at 300mm - who keeps on saying that lens is soft at 300mm?

Good separation with the 70-300 VR at 110mm and f10 in the last shot as well - I was quite surprised

A pro who has all the really expensive lenses recently told me that the 70-300 VR is probably the best value in the Nikon lineup -- really inexpensive compared to the quality that it delivers. I've never used one, but based on all the images that I've seen over the years, that makes sense to me.

Bang for buck, it can't be beat. I've just posted a 2nd part to this thread with a few more examples.
