New thread idea! guess the subject in macro photos

If you guys want more fun, more than what you already have here, I thought it would be nice to have a thread for people to post their macro shots of everyday objects and have others to guess what it is.

Since I have no experience in this kind of photography (no gear either, so I have to zoom in with my 70-200mm lens!), I have no idea how easy it is to constantly come up with subjects and if you guys do it I will be just watching!

Cheers,

Alis

Ha! I just finished shooting something like that (as the weather is so bad). Sounds a good idea. Only thing I would say is take a wider shot and post a zoom-in to start with. If people can't guess it then you can zoom out a bit and repost until they get it.

Brilliant idea Rob, thanks.

Also removes the need for a special macro lens!

Nice starter idea too Ali, btw

Just one question; is this supposed to be it, or shall we start in earnest with a better named thread?
- If this isn't it, I'll move this to site suggestions.
- If this is it, I'll re-title it.

Might be better to start a new one without all these posts in here. You could call it.... you could call it... I don't know, make something up. Do you want me to provide first shot as I have something just taken, or does Alis want to provide it?

What are the rules? One guess at a time per person? Whoever gets it provides the next? Agree that it doesn't have to be shot with a macro - just zoom screen-snap or something. When its identified you have to post the full shot?

Re: New thread!

I like the zoom idea. Please go ahead and post the first one if you have something ready Just don't make it too hard to guess

The only thing I would add is that it has be something technically descent shot not just a puzzle.

I will have to find something.
