Love the image as it is, hope I can get one half as good this December as I hope to spend about a week in the area.

    Cheers:

For me, there needs to be a little bit more sky. The rim of the canyon seems a bit crowded.

This is a fantastic location to shoot with a large variety of subjects to choose from. If you can catch the hoodoos with a dusting of snow, all the better!

Thanks for the feedback! I think you're right, at the time I took this I was more concerned with the patterns of the hoodoos and how much to zoom in or out to get the best composition and missed getting more sky in the image.

yes i love the location, but at first look it just seems a bit to "busy" if you get what i mean, maybe a lower angle looking up?

I know what you mean! It is that busyness that makes it difficult to get a more traditional 'subject' defined in the Bryce Canyon views.

There are hiking trails leading down into the canyon that I would have liked to explore if I wore a younger man's clothes. For now, I'll have to be satisfied with the views from the canyon's rim overlook.
