    The conundrum

I liked the light in this scene from yesterday in the Fish Market. The delivery man was trying to work out how all the stock would fit on his bike!

    Phil,
The story comes through beautifully, and the light looks like the flash of inspiration he was hoping for. The exposure is spot on,
as is the light/dark balance. Really nice shot.

As they say Phil, "it's all about the light". And this is particularly true with this image. I wish I could take shots like that !!

    Re: The conundrum

Thanks Kevin and Dave. I wished I'd stopped down a little more to get the whole bicycle sharp, as I shot it at 1/100th, ISO1100, f2.8. I could have just about got away with around 1/60th, ISO3200 and f5.6, but it was a quick grab so I didn't get any chance to reshoot. It helps to look for soft directional light when it's 45c in the shade - that pushes you to find covered areas after a couple of minutes, and alleyways with an opening to the harsh light create a nice effect
