    I was taking pics of a Musk Thistle when this hummingbird showed up. I quickly snapped this shot then moved to get that stem out from in front of her and she flew off. Waited and waited and she never returned... And I so love the shot otherwise!

    Yes, Terri, something which we have all encountered.

    A particular problem which I encounter with insect shots when I'm working close to the subject. Gently start moving grass to one side; just one more to move, then . . .

    The thistle looks very dramatic.
