    Fort Hayl

    The Hajjar Mountains stretch from the northern tip of the Arabian Peninsula (by the Straits of Hormuz) down the eastern coast, through the UAE, Oman and Yemen. In the UAE, there are many hill forts which guarded old trade routes through to the towns on the western coast. Fort Hayl is one such fort, which has been well restored. I've visited 3 times, and have had the place completely to myself each time. Here are a few shots from the fort:

    Phil, these are a great set of stunning photo's.
    And thanks for the story of the history, I always find it makes a better image if you have a story to relate to it.
