Wow, that IS close and sharp. Nicely done.
Not too keen on you being there it seems in #1.
Great captures all.
Well done. I like #2 the best, good composition. Lucky you ! Around here, I usually find them in nesting boxes on channel markers, I envy you the tree and the FISH!!
Thanks Nat, I appreciate you viewing and commenting. The first Osprey I ever saw was on the eastern shore while out on my brothers sailboat. In a nest on a platfrom. Where I go in Florida there is a large marsh next to a large lake. The Osprey fish in the lake and then fly to a roost in the marsh to eat their catch. Quite easy to get close.
#3 is my fav. Really nice series!

Man, if Looks could kill you would only have gotten shot #1. These are great shots they capture the majectic traits of the bird.
I personally like shot #2. Where was this shoot taken?
Nice series Joe. I love the fact you got nice sharp bright eye shots. Seems to be a tough bird to get the eyes as nice as you have.
I also love the eyes in these. What great shots! I especially love #2 because of the composition, the tree, the fish and the direction the bird is facing. It's as if he's landed and making sure others have not followed to take his prize. Beautifully clear shots!
Nice captures Joe, can you crop 2 more to bring it up close? Its a great pose and would look fantastic with a tighter crop.
Thanks Paul, I have been paying more attention to where the light/sun is. I think because the bird was well illiminated the eyes reflected it brightly. So now if something is in the deep shade or the shadow side is towards me I just appreciate the view without clicking an image.
