    some kind of tit

    im probably wrong with the title as i dont know anything about birds. Anyway what do you think of my latest attempt to get this little fella from the garden?

    That's a male house sparrow (or "English sparrow" as they're sometimes called on this side of the pond).

    Nicely captured in terms of DOF, I would have preferred a different angle to give you a better composition and fewer obstructions and distractions. These fellas are not very shy and I bet you'll have an opportunity to capture an image at eye level or from above.

    Thanks for clearing up what he was. I will try and get a better angle at some point but everytime i see him and go to get my camera he flies onto the roof.

    Maybe they're more apprehensive of people out in the country. Here in the city you have to watch your step to avoid kicking them from the sidewalk. I've had them land on me and beg for snacks, and some don't bother to ask but snatch food directly from the plate.

    Maybe a tighter crop would lose some of the background distractions.

    Like many birds, they appear braver when in a flock.
