    Fixing Too Bright Sun

This shot is a three-shot HDR. I like it, but don't care for the bright, bright sun. I've tried all the adjustments (basic panel in Lr4) and messed around with the HSL luminance and saturation sliders. This is the best I've been able to do. Any suggestions for improving this shot?

    Hi Homer,
I certainly no expert but how about the 'Burn' tool? Set to cover just the bright areas and set to about 40%, this should darken the sun a bit.
I'm sure other on the site will have other / better ideas but that's all I can think of.
    Nice shot by the way.
    Regards

Thanks for the reply, JPS. I tried that using the Adjustment Brush and I tired using a Gaussian filter in CS6. The Caussian filter actually worked pretty nicely but still didn't get me what I was looking for. I think the real problem was that the fog wasn't dense enough. Not much I could do about that!
