Harebell

Another forb from my excursion to Louisville Swamp. In opposition to the name, the main draw is not the swamp, especially in July. This refuge unit offers a large area of near virgin prairie, characterized by scattered Mima mounds. Mima mounds are created by gravelly frost heaves and are an excellent area to find plants more typical to prairies further west.

Re: Harebell
Randy,
This works for me. I like the shallow DoF and blurring. At first I thought the dark, large grass at the left was a little distracting, but the more I looked the more I think it works, and cropping it just changes the perspective and positioning of the blossom too much. I wouldnt change it except to crop the very narrow sliver of light grass at the extreme left edge. Nice capture.

Re: Harebell
Randy, I agree with Keven, just a little crop or PP if you are into it to eliminate the little clear space at the buttom left. The flower is sharp contrasting nicely with the bokeh background. The light is present yet soft enough to not burn the white of the flower. Great job.
