I voted for 48 hours but ever since I've been wondering why only 48 hours? Has past experience shown that longer voting periods don't work or cause too much hassle?

There's no deep and philosophical reason it couldn't be longer - but I really just don't see a need for it; I'd really prefer just to get it over and done with so we can announce the winners and get the next one underway. Keeping in mind too that with the PM reminders, most should get an eMail notification - so even if they haven't visited the site for a couple of days (shock, horror) then they'll still get a reminder so long as they're checking their eMail. | |
