Re: My first picture at CIC...for feedback!
Welcome Otavio.
That is a mighty fine first pic posted.
You may wish to read this about posting images.
Help! How do I post images here?

Re: My first picture at CIC...for feedback!
Beautiful! I especially like the reflections in the water.
If I would have to say something I would perhaps say that it's just a tad overexposed? But once again GREAT shot! I wish I had this kind of landscape where I live.

Re: My first picture at CIC...for feedback!
Hi Luc! I agree that a bit less of exposure could give a better result. If I was carrying a tripod I would also try the HDR, due to the wide contrast range (right "sky side" is brighter than left "woods side"). That's why I think the HDR would also be of help. By the way, I'm pretty sure you have different, but beautiful landscapes in Quebec!

Re: My first picture at CIC...for feedback!
I hope you enjoy CiC as much as I am enjoying it, and I also am a relatively new participant.
Very nice composition! The thing that I notice immediately is that the reflection is exposed properyly and that the upper half is over exposed. I don't know your level of post-processing skills, but that issue is relatively easy to fix and would take your image to the next level.

Re: My first picture at CIC...for feedback!
Hi Mike. Thanks for your comment. Could you give any tip on how could I do this post-processing? I only use standard programs (microsoft photo editor, for instance) to adjust bright and contrast. This picture, particularly, was not post-processed (yet).

Re: My first picture at CIC...for feedback!
Otavio,
You would need, at least minimally, any program that allows you to select the upper half of the image and adjust the brightness. You could do that using Photoshp Elements, which is a lite version of Photoshop. There may be many other programs, perhaps even free if not cheaper, that will do that.
Considering your eye and sense of composition exhibited in this image, once you learn to use the basics of a "digital darkroom," otherwise known as post-processing software, you will be able to present images at a much higher level. You might want to review the tutorials presented here at CiC for excellent ideas.

Re: My first picture at CIC...for feedback!
Beautiful picture. I like how the refelection leads you right into the picture. I agree with you and others that pp of the upper sky would make this picture even more of a popper then it is.( popper= pops off the page)

Re: My first picture at CIC...for feedback!
Thanks for the comments, Muriel. I will try the PP on the upper sky and post the result as soon as I can.

Re: My first picture at CIC...for feedback!
I added a second image. It is a PP version of the first, based on comments provided. To me, it looks better. C&C welcome!
