    While clouds were blocking the sun I tried this BW of town and castle Runkel. CC welcome.

    Very nice! I wrote about your color version that the bridge is more appealing to me than the castle and surrounding buildings. In this image, the entire scene comes together very nicely, I think perhaps because of the mood created by the clouds in black-and-white. Consider lightening the buildings on the left a bit, but be careful that you maintain the contrast.

    When I saw the colour versions, my thoughts were that I would have liked the second version cropped i to eliminate the foreground grass, and bring the line of the weir into the left corner; having done that, and then converted to b/w, I think you have produced a very appealing and dramatic picture
