Found this grasshopper (??) lying on the staircase this morning. With the intention of getting some close-ups, I brought it home and placed it on one of my balcony plants. While bringing the camera from the wardrobe, on the way I made some quick changes in the setting (white balance/exposure mode/focus mode etc.). I hurriedly took some snaps (with every possible angle) fearing that it would fly off any moment. After a few shots I noticed that something was wrong with the shutter speed: 1/5000!!! Camera was on Av mode at around f/2.8 and I was shooting in the golden hour (sun was up about 30 mins). ISO 1600……………..hack. Brought down ISO to 100 and took some more shots.
Posting a few of them for c&c. (Shooting close-ups with the nifty-fifty can be very frustrating: minimum focus distance is 1.5’ while my P&S can shoot from 0.4”!!)
