    Yellow Dragon

Was kind enough to come in close. Not that close or would have had to back off and probably scare it away. So just right...

Comments etc to help me improve are always appreciated.

    Thanks for looking.

#3 may be useful for obtaining a positive identification but #1 is certainly a classic shot.

    Thanks Donald and Geoff.

Tried moving slightly left, right, up, down, shooting down, shooting up but that background could not be killed. Closer might have been possible but then he would have filled the frame.

Nice shots Bobo. I have never seen that type of Dragonfly, the ones I have seen always have a more elongated body.

Some species, for example Chasers, and Darters can be quite 'dumpy'. For example, the UK Broad-bodied Chaser (Libellula depressa).

Thanks Joe, first time here too.

Thanks Geoff - for a moment thought I might have stumbled upon an unknown species.
