Hi Bruce,
Quite a pleasant picture; pretty lady, good neutral background and clothes.
I find the way the light is catching her ear-ring attracts my attention.
I'm very aware we don't want to over sharpen any portrait, but think this might stand having a little more definition/resolution/sharpening in some areas, e.g. hair.
How did you get her not to look up when she sees/feels you approach with a camera?
Can't see any EXIF data to know what focal length, and hence distance, this was shot at.

Dave: I shot this using a Nikkor 18-135 mm lens set @135mm, f6.3. I used a shoe mounted flash that was diffused. Distance: approximately 10 feet.
