    Love the bokeh of the lens. Very nice composition and good colors too, with excellent details captured in the feathers...Frame it and sell it

    Peter, very nice capture--quite sharp and the eyes are riveting. I assume that this was taken with the 70-200 F4L IS? Do you know what kind of owl this is?

    Hi Joe,

    It was actually taken with th 50mm F1.8 . I cant remember which type of owl this was, there were about 5 different ons on display, aftaid I was concentrating on getting a full frontal view.

    Very nice indeed. It looks almost painted. is the background around the head artificially blurred? It looks as if it needs a some feathering to blur the edges. But as I say the owl is nicely captured.

    No, the whole shot has been sharpened but nothig else apart from some levels adjustment. that's how it came out.
