    Haunted Graveyard Chapel

This is an exercise in trying to make a daytime shot look like moonlight image.

According to local legend, this boarded up graveyard chapel is haunted by those that reside within its catacomb crypts.

Processing was done in low-key to try to simulate the misty night atmosphere.

And no, I have no intention of entering this graveyard chapel after dark!

Any suggestions for other techniques to enhance the spooky feeling?

You have some ghosting and halos around the trees. Have you tried to add some blacks and bring the highlights down. It is just a little too white/bright to be moonlit. I do not know if you are using LR, if you are, maybe bring the clarity slider to the left some.

    Frank,
I think the light and colour would both need to be reduced much more to make this look like a moonlight shot - e.g. rough edit:

Excellent point, Pierre! I'll have to try again and make it darker and perhaps reduce the contrast a bit as well. Thanks for the feedback!

I see what you have done. Yes, I think you are on the right track. I'll give it a try. Thanks!

Very effective processing from Frank and Philip. It does, indeed, look as if it could be haunted
