    Snowy Egrets...C&C Appreciated

I have been catching up on post processing images from last winters photo trips. These were shot early morning, with the low sun backlighting the bird. The water in the marsh was perfectly still reflecting the sky. Your critique and comments are always welcome.

Excellent sharp shots of a tricky subject.

With the first one, I was wondering how it could be standing on a branch which was 'floating in the air' then I eventually realised that the branch is sticking out of the water.

Joe, I think they are all superb captures of a very beautiful bird. I'm a huge
fan of #2, as you caught him/her just at the opportune second..Snowy Egrets...C&C Appreciated

Only change I might make is to clone out that little black spot just above the right
    wing in image #2.

Thank Geoff, you are correct...a branch sticking out of the water.

Thanks Mike, I missed that spot...good eyes. I'll take care of it in the original.

Thanks Paul, I will crop it so it does not look like it is floating.

Nice series of images Joe, personally I like #3 as you've captured it at just the right time.

Would you know what the latin name of the Snowy Egret is as it resembles our "Little Egret"

Excellent captures and a great job keeping the detail in the whites. Unless the water is totally featureless, I would try darkening and increasing the contrast of just the water enough to bring out the surface so that the background looks more natural.
