    Are You My Mommy?

I so rarely see deer that I was overjoyed when I got a chance to shoot three that held still long enough for me to get their pictures. I thought this one was the best looking of the bunch.

What a treat to see them. The wall behind her head is distracting to me. How about a tighter crop to try and get that gone? And maybe try to sharpen the eyes some- the focus seems a bit soft there. Good Job!

I suppose reducing the wall area by around half would reduce it's impact, and you could probably get away with cropping a similar amount from the left side to retain the same size ratio.

Certainly a nice inquisitive look from this animal.

Crop or not...it's emotive and i want to tickle it's ears.

Not a technical critique certainly...but from the heart/hormones.

    love it. xx

Beautiful animal and nicely done up too.

Actually that wall is not all that distracting if viewing pic in the lightbox.

Frank , you did a great job on this. Good detail and great exposure. I would prob. crop just a touch off the top to move the eyes up a little , but that's all. Well done!

Thanks everyone! It sounds like a tighter crop to minimize the stone wall and move the eyes higher in the image is in order so let's see if this works better.

Sharon, I think he'd like you to tickle his ears!

Thank you Paul! I like it as well, perhaps mostly because I took it.

Now to learn how to do better, much better. It'll take that to come anywhere near the fantastic images of deer I've seen posted on the CiC forum.
