Finally enticed a Hummer in. C&C welcomed.
I am glad to see these pretty birds are back in my area . I believe this one is a Ruby-Throated Hummingbird (female) . The pinkish tinge on her breast is a reflection from a nearby feeder. Hope to see a male soon as he has more color. ss 1/1250 av 3.2 iso 800. Let me know what you think. Thanks for viewing.

Nice capture james. They can be tough. The lighting is nice on her. You even got her tongue slightly out. Quick little fact......their tongue is so long they keep it rolled up just under the feathers at the back of their head.

A really nice shot. Very nice balance between the green of the background and the magenta of the flowers, and the softer green of the background makes a well cotrasted but comfortable transition to the bird. A definite keeper, well done

Now that is a wonderful picture. The colours all work nicely together and the flowers give a good perspective of the birds size. Thanks for sharing.

Well done James, brilliant colour and composition. You've captured the moment excellently.
