    Portraits at The Renaissance Faire

I attended the 2012 Renaissance Faire in Escondido, California on Saturday, May Fifth. It was an enjoyable venue at which to shoot. Reenactors were dressed in period costumes or were dressed however their whimsy decided. Everyone was friendly and enjoyed being photographed. If any photographer wants to get over the fear of shooting strangers, this is a great activity, I primarily shot head and shoulders portraits because the backgrounds were extremely busy and filled with visitors who were not wearing costumes.

    Hi Richard,

Great series, each captured in a way that suits their personality from the aloof #6 to the confident #1, something which speaks volumes of your skill.

I second your suggestion to shoot at a re-enactment as a "toe dipping" exercise in portraiture for the shy.
