More flowers from the Land of 10,000 Lakes...........And a lot of Mosquitos

Spring had an early arrival in Minnesota, giving me an opportunity to play with my Tammy 90mm Macro. Wind was blowing fiercely, therefore focus is not as sharp as I would have liked and depth of focus is a little shallow. Tell me whatcha think.

I think you've provided the perfect critique yourself, Randy. And being able to do so is so much more important than critiques that others offer. It's shows that you are climbing along the learning curve.

Sometimes, when the conditions are not right, we just have to look at something wonderful in front of us and accept we're not going to make a winning image out of it.

    I am surprised...

I am surprised that you don't have any images of the Minnesota mosquitos. From my memory, you would not need a macro lens to photograph them because they are at least as big as the flowers you shot. And, they are a lot hungrier!

I'm sure that will be a subject very soon, already have ticks. Weather this year has been a little weird. Last Sunday, tornadoes in the area; Monday, snow flurries

Randy - that first one is great in my view . Good subtle colors and tones and the flower stands out. Nice job. I think the combination of the shallow dof and subtle tones holds up well.

I think you've nailed a critique on yourself. Use a tripod and take a few more. I'm sure there will be one you like.
