    On the Nest

I posted an image eight or so days ago of a nesting swan close to the centre of Marlow. I took this this morning, unfortunately in poor light, showing the pen (female swan) much more settled on the nest, although I don't know whether she has laid yet or not.

As with the first posting I have tried to ensure that burnout is to a minimum, although I am not convinced I have been 100% successful. Your comments will be gratefully received.

The trouble with white birds, Chris, is that at some angles you can lose feather detail when you are still well clear of over exposure. And if you under expose too much, noise can be a problem along with a lack of detail.

It seems to be a case of waiting for perfect light. Very slightly overcast usually works best for me.

Your focus and exposure on the head looks good to me.
