    Mud Season

In the mountains of the upstate New York State Adirondack Park there is a time in the spring when the snowmobile tourists have all left for the winter and the summer tourists are a month away. The winter snows are melting under the onslaught of the spring rains. This is known as Mud Season. For a couple of weeks it is too cold to do outside maintenance and there is usually mud everywhere. So, what do the locals do? They head south to Florida for their spring break, of course!

This year there was very little snow to melt and the unusually warm weather brought 'Mud Season' two weeks earlier than expected. The bustling tourist town of Old Forge was all but shut down and there was rarely a person or vehicle anywhere to be seen.

What we did see, however was the PV Clearwater patiently waiting for the return of the tourists to ply the 13 connected lakes in and around Old Forge.

I don't know how you keep pulling them out of the bag, but you do and I enjoy viewing.
    Well done.

Thanks John. I really appreciate the feedback, it really helps offset the postings that nobody notices! LOL!

It is a nice tidy view Frank,

Did you have to do any clone clearing of litter or fall leaves?
In the UK, such a scene would usually be a complete mess underfoot.

    Cheers,

I was very lucky in that respect with this image, Dave. There was no cloning involved, just some shadow blending.

I sure hope everyone is looking at that picture in the litebox - it's great, I'm seeing so much detail, even the rolls of roofing material. I like
