    Hi i am wondering if anyone could recommend a book about layers in CS5. not a fan of videos much perfer a book to refer to . cheers pat

    It is a collection of printable tutorials. And yes, I have to read something in print several times before it starts to 'sink in'. As I have said before, videos simply go straight from my computer screen to the rear wall of the room - and completely bypass my brain.

    With regard to a specific CS5 book. I use the Martin Evening book 'Adobe Photoshop CS5 for Photographers' which was on special offer from an internet site when I purchased it. But there are a few other useful books.

    None exactly cheap though.

    I can recommend "Layers: The Complete Guide to Photoshop's Most Powerful Feature" by Matt Kloskowski.
