One thing I have failed to do much of is flowers and such. So I am making it a point to shoot a few while I am out. I took these three on a short walk today. C&C always welcome.
This one does not exactly scream spring, but I liked it.

I just love the colour contrast in the first one, Paul. Nice capture. I don't know whether I should be crediting your glass or your PP skills for the sharpness of your photos, but either way, I am always impressed.

Thank you Janis, I guess you'll have to give the glass most of the credit there. Other than being a halfway steady hand holder I get little credit as my PP skills are rather lacking.

I have to buck the trend here and say that I'm most impressed with #2. To be honest, the thing that makes this image for me is the S curve shape to the line of flowers. It is subtle, but very pleasing (at least to my eye).

I like 'em all Paul,
Can't suggest anything to improve #1, or #2 really.
It wasn't until Bill mentioned the S shape I saw it, I just knew it was better than average, but couldn't say why.
On the third, I think I'd clone out the 'half a one' on the lower edge of frame. I still like the shot too though, it reminds me of fireworks.

Thank you Dave, subtle was the word of the day for that one. It is what made me take the image and get down a little low to strech the s out a little. Glad it came accross.
