First few minutes of the life of caterpillars

I saw these tiny eggs sticking out underneath a blade of leaf. As usual, I took out my camera to shoot them. I wanted to record the life cycle of whatever it was. When I zoomed in on my view finder, I was pleasantly surprised and amazed by what I saw ... the eggs were hatched and the babies have crawled out of their tiny sac.

Those who are into butterflies maybe you could tell what type of butterflies these are or maybe it's something else.

    Hi Steven

I'm not into the macro photography, but these two are amazing. I like especially the second, even though the grayish background colour is not very appealing compared to the nice green background you have on the first one.

    Very good timing. Well done

It is absolutely amazing what you can see when you take the time and patience to look. I am hoping that you will be able to followup on these critters as they develop, Steven!

    Steven,

I believe they are lacewings... I'll let Sir David Attenborough explain more...

That is a fantastic capture. We get some of them here too, and I look for eggs every year, but have never found any! Very nicely done!

    Tono thanks for the comments
Frank, I would love to keep those critters in their environment to record their life cycle, but after gaining their strength they 'disappeared' in the bushes.
Bill, thanks for the video. Appreciate that.
