Cokin vs Kood ND/ND grad rectangular filters

    Hi everyone,
I am relatively new to digital photography(Xmas 2008) but soon got the bug when I received a present of a Canon EOS 450D c/w
Canon 18-55 IS, & Tamron 70-300 lens from my wife.
I am considering buying some ND/ND grad rectangular filters, but am not certain which to go for; do I go for Cokin or the Kood equivalent..?
Hoping someone out there can offer some positive advice.
    Thanks.
    Best wishes:

    Hi Mal,

Both are mediocre quality; so I don't think you'll see much between them.

If your interested in top-shelf GND filters, take a look at Singh-Ray filters (I use them exclusively for GND and Vari-ND filters).

Also, you'll find that the Lee filter holder system to be higher quality.

    Hope this helps

Hi, definitely agrees with you Colin. I am saving up to pickup a set of Singh Rays myself.

Both a bit rubbish from the reviews/images I've seen. I'm not sure where you are exactly. If in the UK, you can consider HiTech or Lee filters.
