A happy end to a sad story...

'Roo road kill happens all too frequently here. Sadly this is how this little chap was orphaned. But thankfully the happy ending is that he was rescued from his mother's pouch and handed in to one of our friends, who is licensed to run a native animal shelter. And with appropriate care this little bloke is thriving. When mature enough to fend for himself, he will be released back into the wild. Where no doubt he will become a jolly nuisance, over running the place with heaps of off spring by impregnating a whole lot of females, competing with stock for feed and water and destroying our farm fences!

Hey, hang on a tick! This is a happy ending????

Thanks for viewing and any comments posted will be most appreciated.

Those toenails must uncomfortable on Mom's pouch! Cute shots and very interesting to see what they look like when they are very young. Thank you, Ken! I hope you'll be able to post updates as he grows!

    Ken,
as strange as it might seem, I've never seen a baby 'Roo' up close like this. I too am amazed at it's feet. It just goes to show that even an 'Old boy' like me can learn something new. Thanks for sharing.
