    Orang Utan

I know, people and pets forum, well a zoo isn't really nature, so here it is.
First real outing with my new camera, Sony A77. So cool to be able to shoot at high ISO's.
    500mm fixed f8 (mirror), 1/160s, ISO 6400 (plus monopod).
(Previous camera Sony A350 had a max of 3200 ISO and it was unusable except in emergencies. With this one I feel comfortable at 3200 (with a little noise reduction). Wow, so far has technology advanced in the last four years.

Being able to shoot at ISO 6400 and still have a good photo is definitely a plus. Nice shot too. Is there a bit of a halo at the top of its head?

Halo - not quite. There was a big post coming out of his head and I tried to get rid of it, but the hair was too complex to clone around, so I left it. Another case of me being lazy. but I did like the bokeh (due to mirror lens).
