Single shot RAW - Wisconsin Capitol (HDR)
This is a single RAW image. I was walking to work and in minds eye I could see that the trees were going to be a nice color feature behind me (like playing poker - I had a feeling LOL).
So I turned around took a few steps this way and that way, waited for the guy in the distance to get a little closer and click!!

Hi Rod,
It looks good. Interesting to note the strong convergence, and yet the tree in the left/foreground seems to be leaning the other way.
Re: Single shot RAW - Wisconsin Capitol
I really like it ... reminiscent of old colored postcards ... pretty cool ... how you guys doing this HDR thing?
Re: Single shot RAW - Wisconsin Capitol
kevinbythebeach - funny you should say that as I make postcards (have a series of 12 now) using HDR and people tell me that they look like old 1950 post cards. Current technology mimicking 60 year old photos. go figure
I use Photomatrix and then Photoshop. Shoot RAW using 1 photo for this one but have shot 11 photos on a tripod if I'm really serious and shooting into the sun.
Go to the tutorials area here for an explanation.
Colin Southern - yea - 18 - 70mm lens. I wish Nikon had something I could actually afford when it comes to wide angle. I suppose I could play with it in Photoshop.

Postcards..cool...I am thinking of starting some here of the beaches and trying to sell them to companies....I'll check out the tutorial....
Re: Single shot RAW - Wisconsin Capitol
Oh yeah I really like the lightpost/globe stlye that is in the pic ... to me that really makes a difference. If that wasn't in the image I don't think I'd like it.
