    night shot test

hi i know that picture is nothing to look at but its the first time i have tried night shooting, so it was a test in the back garden, i have a few moving stars, but the reason i have put this on is if you look at the first light on the left side there is a blue line that goes over it, but none of the other star lines are that long any advice

That left side trail might be just a satellite.
If you want longer star trails, the way to go is stacking many consecutive shots. Use whatever exposure time you find to be accurate (to not blow the lights or sourrounding area) then use the same settings for many shots.
When you get them all, use a stacking software.
