Anyone else like to make abstract art from your photos?

I like to play with some of my photos for fun and create abstract art from them. Flowers work pretty well because they are bright in color. Any comments welcome! Enjoy:)

1=blue pansys

2=calanthe orchid

3=blue&purple hydangas

4=pink camilia

5=pinkish/lavender peony

Well that's new, I don't think we've had anyone do this before, quite a neat idea.

I could even see some of the larger patterned ones (say #4 or #5) as table mats or coasters (drinks mats), if you know what I mean (maybe called something different stateside).

Hi Donald, I have a section which performs reflection effects in my Paintshop Pro, It produces some amazing results and makes me look clever:cool:, which I can assure you, I most definately am not.:):D

yep thats what i have to the coral paint shop pro x,go to effects than reflection effects than kaleidoscope play around you get kaleidoscoped picture,really nice crusty i like that sunset one makes me think of a gothic snowflake,i really like making these and people think you are just amazing LOL!shh lets keep it a secret:D

I had a play with some paddling pool shots in GIMP......I think this is what you may term abstract. Or is it still life...oh here goes anyway

Wirefox, That is really good, I would just simply not have the imagination to produce something like that.

I would've never thought of doing that with images. I'll have to try it.

yeah wirefox i think that would be abstract its nice to,i have the gimp also and i just got the tiffen DFX standalone,i need to start playing with that to im just waiting not to much longer till my niagra falls trip woo whoo:D
