    My Dog Having Fun

These were a couple of snaps I took for fun of my eldest son playing with our Golden Retriever 'Brinkley' last night.

I wonder if the dog's eyes seem a bit too stark in the first one. Maybe it's because there's a lot of light tone in the image (with the floor included) and the darkness of the eyes is exaggerated?

I think 2 and 3 work better because they are much tighter - all out attention is firmly on the two heads. I love the dog;s expression in the last one - "What do you mean, 'I can't eat him?' "

The highlights are close to being blown out in a few places like the paws and around the eyes, that's probably why they seam so dark. Maybe if the image was toned down a bit? 2 & 3 are good, and like Donald I think the dogs expression really makes the shots.

Thanks so much Donald and Rob. Agree about the blowout inthe first, too much blonde and creme tones going on, will have a play with it :-D

As a fellow dog owner, it looks like your dog is claiming your son as his, not always a good thing
    How old is the dog?

Oh no Brian, no problem there. Brinkley is almost 13y/o and was entirely enticed by my son Jack into those positions with little licks of vegemite LOL. Our good Ol pal Brinkley is a loyal fella who definitely knows who's boss and is a complete wussy dog around other dogs. I dont think he's ever asserted himself over a person or any animals in his life. Even my cat rules the roost more than he does

Love the expressions in that third photo! And yes, Brinkley's body language is "all softie". Nice shots of a boy and his dog.... or at least of a boy and a dog he loves
