    Jack,
    I really like how sharp and crisp this photo is, I especially like how you can see the crystalized ice on the edge -- great detail. I also like the softness of the water under and around the rock. I really like your photo!

    Jack,

    To my eye this shot leaves a bit on the table. I would be interested in some background on the shot, time of day, the light etc.. I think you did a really nice job of softening the water and the ice is cool but not real crisp from a focus standpoint on my monitor. IMHO that is where it could be improved the crisp and locked focus on the ice while the water sort of softly slips by.

    In any case, my 2 cents from a peer who is continually learning as well.

    I love it and do like a tight composition, but agree with Scott that a little more may have added to the shot as the water looks great and is very soothing.
