    Hard to believe

It is hard to believe that anyone would consider marching into combat decked out like this. These are replica uniforms from the Louisiana Tigers a Confederate Unit from the American Civil War. Although they (IMO) looked like circus clowns, these Tigers were brave and hard fighting.

Guess that explains why the Tide mauled LSU last night…

(for those not familiar with american college football… The Alabama Crimson Tide - rated #2, kicked the rear ends of the Louisiana State University-LSU- tigers- rated #1 in last nights college football championship game. Its an overhyped event.)

I can see some LSU purple in that paisley!... Mike if you are in PA and remotely a fan of college football you must be as sick as I am of seeing SEC teams win in overhyped ESPN productions. Apologizes to Richard for the minor thread hijack.

Off track to Mike... My ancestors settled in the Lancaster, PA area when they emigrated from Northern Ireland... they were Scots-Irish... around 1700 or so! NOTE: The term Scots-Irish is a bit of Americana and refers to the Scots who settled in Ireland and then migrated to the New World. An estimated 250,000 Presbyterian and other Protestant dissenters from the Irish province of Ulster who immigrated to North America primarily during the colonial era and their descendants. I believe that people in Great Britain or Ireland that are of a similar ancestry usually refer to themselves as Ulster Scots, with the term Scotch-Irish used only in North America. Much of the Southern United States were settled by these folk. They kept advancing from Pennsylvania through Virginia, North Carolina and Tennessee; as well as Alabama, South Carolina and Mississippi. The country music of the Southern Apalachians has directly evolved from old Scottish and Irish tunes...

Don't worry about the hijack. Wait 'till this years season... GO TROJANS! (The Trojans are the team from the University of Southern California and were ruled out of the college football bowl games because a former player had been accused of accepting unauthorized housing for his family. 2011 is the last year of the penalty.

Dressing like that could be a clever trick. By the time the enemy stopped laughing it would be too late.

I guess they should have let OSU play Alabama. It most likely would have been a better game.Don't underestimate the power of the SEC though, they have won the National Championship for the past 6 or 7 years.
