I like it, expected blown highlights in the wrong places (the clouds) but only showing in the lamps.
I'm trying to ignore those lamps, because otherwise it's a beauty. But, boy, they do hit you square on and it's difficult to get attention away from them.
How have you processed that? It's got an almost silky sheen look to it.
ps - I think it needs a slight counter-clockwise rotation to straighten up the verticals.

Yep - the lamps are definitely a problem. I had a quick look at them this morning but decided that I'd just put it up for C&C and reshoot on a different day. I have processed it - I was trying to give it a warm and vibrant feel against a dark and ominous background. It's a welcoming sight after a lousy round or when it's pelting down with rain and you need some shelter. I might have over saturated some of the colours - too much do you think?
I'll have a look at the verticals again - I've shifted the perspective so it might be more of a distortion issue with some verticals not being straight while some are.
Great PP job on the lights, Malcolm! I can't put my finger on it, but something about the lighting looks uneven. It may be just the time of day, sky conditions, or the light reflections from the lamps that were removed. Nice composition!
Malcolm,
Great PP job on the lights. I love the ominous sky in this image.
BTW: it looks like a pretty nice clubhouse!
