Hi Daisy! Looks delicious. I particularly like the first one with the lighter coloring, detail in the skin, and reflections of the light. Speaking of light, what did you use to get such sharp reflections of the light in these?

Thanks Frank I used a Macro Ring Flash...very handy wee tool to have in your kit.

Not a 'real' flash but LED lights that give good even light to a subject and donesn't cause shadows. A lot of people are a bit sceptical about them but for me it was £30 really well spent.

I prefer the first one too.

I agree with Frank, in fact that first one is as good as I have seen before (anywhere), congrats.

    Daisy Mae...

These are mouth watering images. However, I wonder how the fruit would look shot on a black background...

Thank you Dave....that is high praise indeed.

Richard.. thanks for the comments and the idea. I shall raid the fruit bowl again tommmorow with a black background.

I'd agree with the tone of the comments so far. Both good, but this one is a couple of steps further up the ladder. I think the angle of the shot gives us much better lines and shape. And the light on the fruit is great.

Left you some feedback on Flickr. I agree 100% with all of the above comments. I'll also add that the detail in the hair of the fruit is amazing This shot made my mouth water and gave me a tingle in that spot at the rear of the jaw just below the ear (you know the spot, when your mouth is anticipating something luscious!) Great work Sharon!

There are some selling even cheaper on e-bay and with many you can choose only to light the left or right hand side rather than the whole circle. Giving you lots of versatility.

I would agree about the black card, especially as I saw a cabbage shot against a black card earlier this week which was good, but I could just sink my teeth into that Kiwi fruit. Congrats on a super shot.

    Thanks Daisy and Rob.

Cannot seem to find the variable lighting one or one that has a 72mm lens adapter.

I am thinking of getting the new Sigma 150/2.8 Macro which is a 72mm filter lens.

You could get a 72mm adapter ring on e-bay for a few quid Bobo.
