Elements plus is great. I've been using it for the past few months to get a channel mixer for processing IR files.

I've been using it for a while too. It seems to work pretty well. Even the free verion does Curves, Channel Mixer and Notes all of which I find useful.

This is pretty interesting. It sort of reminds me of the ways people unlocked capabilities in the original Digital Rebel (300D) that were actually in the camera but hidden by Canon!
Along that line, This site offers some tips and some ways to add features to Pnotoshop Elements and Lightroom (along with some other pretty cool information).
