    Practice for lunar eclipse

    I thought I'd have a go at getting all my exposures right in preparation for next weekend's lunar eclipse.
    This was shot at 800mm f8.0 1/60th ISO100.

    Now all I need id a clear night next weekend. Here's hoping.

    @800 he can catch anything...

    One of the better moon shots I have been seeing lately. Well done.

    Hi Mark,

    Was that with an EF800mm, or EF400 with 2x TC?

    400 with 2x TC. If I arrived home with an 800mm lens it would all be finito for me.

    Well, the day has dawned and it looks like the proverbial she one eye T. Once again our esteemed New Zealand meteorology service has got it wrong. They've been forecasting fine weather for days now. How hard can it be with all the latest Doppler radar, satellite imaging etc. Anyway - I might get a good night's sleep.

    Yep, sucks here too. Overcast and continuing to be for the next couple of days... no moon shots likely tonight. But last night was lovely and clear....
