Hi...This is one more from my 2010 trip to the Alps. Another classic shot of the Matterhorn from the Riffelsee lake, this is from a little lake just below the main one actually. I walk up from Zermatt with my kit and stayed the night by this lake, I was hopeing to get a shot of the first rays of the sun on the matterhorn but was lucky to get an amazeing sunset as well.

John...The dynamic range was way too high to get in one shot so I took three exposures. I then blended them using Luminosity masks in PS CS5.

As opposed to the comment above - I generally don't like sunset shots because many of them are boring-boring. However, this shot takes my breath away. Congratulations on knowing where and what you wanted to shoot and for being there at sunset! That shot would make any hike worthwhile!
