Bridge Will Not Recognize Camera for Pic Download

I have a Canon 50D and just recently installed CS5 Extended. When I try to retrieve the pics from my camera in Bridge it will not recognize my camera. I have to retieve in Windows first then open in Bridge.
Do I need a plug in of some sort?
    Any help is appreciated.

    Hi Stephen,

I suspect it might be because the CS5 doesn't recognise the 50D's RAW files out of the box and needs an online update.

However, if you shoot a jpg on camera and it doesn't even find that, I'm probably wrong (won't be the first time).

I am shooting both Raw and JPEG. Bridge is reconigzing both when I open the window file from Bridge.
I will check for an update for the 50D.

I would be surprised if CS5 doesn't recognise a relatively older camera like the 50D. What happens if you download the camera files using the EOS Utility downloader then try to open those files in Bridge?

I'm wondering if this is simply a problem with the Preferences setting in Bridge. These settings do appear rather complicated and whilst I have been able to directly download images from my 40D I found it a bit of a struggle and, so far, never worked as easily as an EOS Utility download.
