Unfortunately the right horn is 'lost' against the other animals fleece.
Cropping tighter on the left edge would concentrate the viewer's eyes more onto the ram's face and make everything clearer. You will end up with a different size ratio though.
Also, I would probably do a little bit of brightness adjustment using a layer and mask to selectively apply the effects.
And a similar procedure could be used to selectively sharpen parts of his head.
Thanks, Geoff. I'll try your suggestions.
Same ram, moved, cropped...suggestions?

Wow, that's some awesome post processing, John!
Looks like an entirely different photo than the first!
:)
Sorry for my poor attempt at humor. In all seriousness, you are starting with uneven lighting. I'm sure you could do better with either the ram looking at a slightly different direction or the sun in a different spot in the sky. I am curious to hear PP options.
The highlights are still a bit bright and the background is a touch noisy but both can be toned down a little. Was the original like this?
ps. to clean up background noise in an image like this, I often find that lightly going over the problem areas with a slight Blur Tool can help.
