    this would have been a very nice image if it wasn't muddled up by the foreground trellis like structure adorned by the mini lights; if one observes a scene from several angular aspects occasionally they can eliminate foreground distractions or at least limit their "impact" on the focal point that the "image collector" seeks to portray, but this is up to the viewer to "qualitate"

    I like the framing effect of the trellis and lights focussing attention towards the skull, if anything I would want to see slightly more of the trellis (top) to frame a slittle more strongly. Very effective in BW and seasonally appropriate.
    Strange haloes around the light, again enhancing the strangeness of the overall image.

    Overall, I like the pic quite a lot.

    Thanks for the comments / suggestions, I'll play around with it some more. Actually getting some pics. together for the front of halloween invitations next year, so I'm trying for images that climb one side of the frame and leave enough space for "You're Invited", etc...
